Sample programme timeline
Sessions can be scheduled to suit you. A typical four-session timeline looks like this:
2–3 weeks before your leave date
Set yourself up for a positive departure, clarify your goals, plan your handover mindset, and prepare for the transition ahead.
2. 6 weeks before your return
Build momentum and prepare your mindset, work through anxieties, update your professional brand, and plan your return.
3. Within the first 2 weeks back
Process the reality of return in real time, what's working, what isn't, and how to navigate the adjustment.
4. 6 weeks after your return
Review, recalibrate, and ensure you're on track, sustainable performance, not burnout.
Already back and struggling? It's never too late. We focus on 'course correction' to ensure you don't burn out in the first six months.

Ideally 4–6 weeks before your return date but we can also work with you before you go on leave, or at any point once you're back. There's no wrong time to start.

A single session is perfect if you want to work through a specific concern, anxiety about going back, a conversation you need to have with your manager, or simply needing space to think. The four-session programme takes you through a structured arc: from preparing for leave, through return, to settling in sustainably. Both are fully personalised.

Absolutely. Many clients start with a single session, perhaps just before returning and book further sessions as they need them. You're in control.

Yes. Many organisations have budgets for professional development or transition coaching. We can provide an invoice for your HR department. Employers can also partner with us to fund this for their team, direct your employer to our Corporate Partnerships page

Yes. You can pay upfront or in two instalments, one before your first session and one before your third.

Absolutely not. This coaching is for any professional returning from parental leave, family leave, a career break, or time working abroad, regardless of gender or the reason for leave.
